Journey's Jonathan Cain Announces Memoir Called 'Don't Stop Believin''

Journey keyboardist Jonathan Cain is releasing his memoir, Don't Stop Believin', on May 1, via Christian book publisher Zondervan

The memoir will be the first to come from the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees—hence how he was able to snag the catchy title.

In the book, Cain shares behind-the-scenes stories from his 36-year career in one of the biggest selling rock bands of all-time, as well as his path to Christian faith.

"Jonathan Cain is a legendary musician, but more importantly, he is passionate about sharing his story in a way that inspires, entertains and uplifts his readers just like the music of Journey," said Zondervan Trade VP and publisher David Morris in a press release.

Cain is a co-writer on many of Journey's biggest hits, including "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Faithfully."

Earlier this month, Journey announced a co-headlining tour with Def Leppard.

The 58-city tour kicks off May 21 in Hartford, Connecticut. Tickets go on sale beginning Saturday, February 3, at LiveNation.com.

In recent years, Cain has been releasing Christian solo album, including 2016's What God Wants to Hear and 2017's Unsung Noel.

But the keyboardist/guitarist's faith and political views have led to some friction within Journey.

So much so that last summer, Cain assured fans that Journey would not break up over his disagreements with guitarist Neal Schon.

This month, while doing press for the tour announcement, Schon said he and Cain haven't talked out their differences, but they have no issues onstage.

"It's in the same place," Schon told Eddie Trunk of his relationship with Cain. "It's been sort of the same for a while — I would say, like, the last two years. And so I just put my head in my own space, and I'm really there to play live for our fans. It's about the music and it's about the fans — it's not about anything else that's going on inside."
