Over 100 Republican congressmen say they're really concerned about President Trump's plans to enact tariffs on steel and aluminum imports. A letter sent to President Trump from 108 GOP lawmakers notes that tariffs would make American businesses less competitive. They warn that such measures could undermine economic progress from big tax breaks that Republicans recently passed.
The congressmen recommend that tariffs should be targeted at unfair trading practices and that the administration should enact them in a way that minimizes negative consequences.
