Game One of the Eastern Conference finals went according to plan for the Celtics on Sunday. Boston was able to slow down LeBron James in its 108-83 victory over the Cavaliers at TD Garden. James was held to 15 points on 5-of-16 shooting due to a solid defensive effort led by Marcus Morris. Morris also added 21 points and 10 rebounds as the Celtics took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game Two is in Boston on Tuesday.
The highly-anticipated Western Conference finals tips off tonight. The Rockets and Warriors square off in Houston for Game One. Golden State is trying to reach the NBA Finals for a fourth consecutive year.
Golden State has eliminated the Rockets from the playoffs in two of the previous three seasons.
