Tiffany Haddish Suggests That the Beyonce Biter Is Still on the Loose

This year has practically been dedicated to solving the mystery of who bit Beyoncé after Tiffany Haddish told GQ the story of an unnamed actress biting Queen Bey in the face during a party in December.
Last month, the Girls Trip star pretty much confirmed Sanaa Lathan was the culprit during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, where she smiled coyly when the interviewer said she thought Lathan was the biter. We thought that was it. Case closed. But boy were we wrong.
Now, Haddish is denying ratting Lathan out. In her cover story for the September issue of Glamour, she clears things up... sort of.
“I didn’t confirm s***. The reporter was like, ‘Sanaa Lathan?’ I’m, like, three drinks in, so of course I was about to laugh," Haddish said. "They thought I put her name out there, but I didn’t. I never said nothing. And Beyoncé didn’t say nothing. Let the person who [bit Beyoncé] bury themselves…. I ain’t trying to destroy this girl. I didn’t say s*** about the girl.”
So does this mean the biter is still on the loose? During that same THR interview in June, Haddish more than just smiled when asked about the incident. She admitted that Lathan's family was upset with her over the controversy.
“I'm super good friends with her stepmom and her dad, and they were mad at me," the comedian explained. "They were like, 'Why would you do this to the family? You know, black actresses, you guys have to stick together, it's so hard for you guys to get work as it is, why would you try to ruin her career?' But I didn't try to ruin her career. I never said her name! I was just trying to say how Beyoncé kept me from goin' to jail that night. I coulda just shut my whole career down."
From the sounds of it, Haddish is trying to downplay the fact that she revealed the biter's identity (she did sign an NDA, after all), though Lathan vehemently denies being the attacker. So basically we're back to throwing our hands up in frustration and intrigue.
This may just be one of the pop world's unsolved mysteries.
