J.A. Happ has hand, foot and mouth disease. Toronto traded the left-hander to the Yankees last week. Yankees manager Brian Cashman says it appears to be a mild case and no one knows how Happ got infected. Mets ace Noah Syndergaard is benched right now for the same ailment. On Sunday, Happ earned his first win with the Yankees in six innings against the Royals. Cashman says the team is looking at Happ's progress daily to determine whether he will start as originally scheduled this coming Saturday against the Red Sox in Boston.
