Woman Shocked To Find Massive Python Inside Her Engine

A woman in Wisconsin made a shocking discovery when she opened up the hood of her SUV after pulling over because it was running strangely. When she looked inside, she saw a giant python had slithered its way into the engine. The snake managed to knock the serpentine belt off, which is why the SUV was not running properly. 

She called the Omro Police Department which shared the story on Facebook. The responding officers attempted to pull the large reptile out, but despite their best efforts the snake refused to budge. They were able to get in contact with a local snake expert who drove down and managed to coax the ball python out from the engine. Police said the snake was "alive and well." 

According to NBC26, it is illegal to own a ball python and authorities identified the owner, fining him $313. The owner will be allowed to keep the reptile, but cannot bring it back into the city.
