Trey Songz may have been cleared of any criminal charges regarding his domestic violence case, however, he is now facing a civil lawsuit for the same alleged incident.

According to TMZ, the "Na Na" singer's accuser, Andrea Buera, is moving forward with a civil lawsuit against him, suing Treye for medical expenses and other damages. Andrea's filing comes after both the Los Angeles District Attorney and City Attorney rejected the original case, declining to file misdemeanor and felony charges against Trey due to lack of evidence.

In her initial suit, Andrea claimed that Trey, whose real name is Tremaine Neverson, attacked her at a Hollywood party during NBA All-Star Weekend back in February. According to docs, obtained by TMZ, Andrea claimed that Trey ran after her, “called her names, choked her and repeatedly punched her in the face” after he caught her talking to another guy. She alleged that the 33-year-old singer continued to beat her until his bodyguard intervened.

Andrea additionally claimed that in the middle of their dispute, Trey threw her phone off of a cliff when she tried to call an Uber. She said that after the alleged incident, her left eye was swollen shut and she was left with bruises around her jaw, shoulders, and legs.

Following her filing in March, Trey turned himself into the Los Angeles Police Department on a felony domestic violence charge, and he was released on $50,000 bail. He later denied the accusations on Twitter. "For weeks my lawyers & Mgmt have asked me not to comment on this and I initially agreed but this morning I feel that my fam, the women that raised me, my friends & fans especially the youth need to hear from me," he wrote. "I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain."
