Elton John Sings "Happy Birthday" to Godson Romeo Beckham

That moment when Elton John is your Godfather and he serenades you at your sweet 16 birthday dinner with one of the most well-known songs on the planet, "Happy Birthday." 

Romeo Beckham, son of Spice Girl/fashion designer Victoria Beckham and soccer star David Beckham, celebrated his 16th birthday early with his family, including his Godparents Elton John and his husband David Furnish. The whole group is currently on vacation in the French Riviera, and enjoyed a lavish birthday dinner at a restaurant, and a video taken by Victoria shows everyone singing "Happy Birthday" as a waiter brings out a big chocolate cake with a candle for Romeo. Did we mention the singing was accompanied by string instruments?

In the sweet clip, the camera pans around the table to show Romeo's younger sister, Harper (7), his dad David, Elton, and more of the Beckham fam. Victoria captioned the video, "Early birthday celebrations! X From the best godparents @eltonjohn @davidfurnish x kisses x."

The birthday boy's 13-year-old brother, Cruz, also posted a video from the 16th birthday celebrations, showing musicians at the restaurant performing for the group. He wrote for his big brother, "Great night with @romeobeckham @brooklynbeckham @victoriabeckham @davidbeckham @eltonjohn @davidfurnish happy early birthday Romeo, love you."

What a way to celebrate turning 16! Happy Birthday to Romeo.

Birthday celebrations aside, it looks like the family is having a great time in Europe. Elton posted a photo posing with Victoria and David on a yacht, writing, "Winding down my Summer holiday with these lovely people."

Similarly, David also shared on his Instagram, "Uncle Elton.... We have known each other now for 25 years .. Fun times with each other."
