Acting Attorney General Will Oversee Russia Investigation

The future of the Russia probe is in the hands of one of its big critics. New Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker will now oversee the probe instead of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. Whitaker takes over the responsibility after being promoted because President Trump fired now-former Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Whitaker has said the probe was dangerously close to crossing a so-called red line on investigating the Trump family's finances.
