Instagram is banning images of self-harm. A 14-year-old girl killed herself in 2017 and her parents noticed that her account had graphic photos which they believe "helped kill" their daughter. Now, Instagram is changing their policy to make sure that people are not able to see photos, hashtags or even search photos of self-harm. Some images related to self-harm will be allowed to stay. Those are more along the lines of people who are overcoming suicide attempts and want to share their story.
