Tobacco use among middle and high school students is on the rise. The CDC reports nearly 5,000,000 students are current users of some type of tobacco product in 2018, up from 3,600,000 in 2017. The report says the increase is driven by a surge in e-cigarette use. About two-in-five students are using multiple tobacco products.
