President Trump is planning to nominate Deputy Transportation Secretary Jeffrey Rosen to be the next Deputy Attorney General. Rosen would replace Rod Rosenstein who has overseen the Special Counsel's investigation for most of the time Robert Mueller has been investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. Rosenstein announced his plans to resign. Attorney General William Barr is now overseeing the probe. Rosen had worked in Barr's law firm and sources say the attorney general had a role in the selection.
