While Hollywood A-listers were partying at Los Angeles' Dolby Theater on Sunday night (February 24) for the 91st annual Academy Awards, Elton John hosted an A-list party himself in West Hollywood. Every year, the rock legend throws an Oscars viewing party to benefit the Elton John Aids Foundation Academy, and this year's seemed even more fitting considering classic rock's presence at the award ceremony. Queen and Adam Lambert kicked things off with a rollicking performance, and Bohemian Rhapsody took home several awards, including Rami Malek winning Best Actor for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury.

As part of Sir Elton's party tradition, he performs every year with a number of special guests, and this time around he recruited The Killers' Brandon Flowers to sing a duet of his 1973 ballad "Daniel." Though a rockstar in his own right, the frontman couldn't believe he was sharing the stage with such an icon.

“I got no business playing any music with Elton John," Flowers declared before they began to perform. "I got no business — I’m the son of a produce man.”

Elton also performed "Tiny Dancer" with Taron Egerton, who's playing him in the upcoming biopic, Rocket Man. The chemistry is palpable as Elton focuses on the piano, allowing Taron to sing solo up until the final chorus. Watch footage from that performance below.
