On Wednesday night (February 27), Kacey Musgraves showed some serious girl power when she invited Hayley Williams onstage for a spunky rendition of Cyndi Lauper's classic '80s jam "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" during a show in Nashville. The Grammy-winning country star wore a pink pantsuit cuffed with feathers while the Paramore frontwoman rocked a mauve blazer — with nothing under it. The two danced around and harmonized as they sang the quintessential female anthem.
The Nashville-based rockstar's band was also in attendance during the first night of Musgraves' four-night residency at Ryman Auditorium, which is part of her extensive Oh What a World Tour.
"Big yeehaw to our friend @KaceyMusgraves for a killer show in Nashville last night. And a special (pantsless) guest @yelyahwilliams," Paramore tweeted alongside fan footage of the performance. Check out their post below.
Aside from both residing in Nashville, Williams and Musgraves are longtime friends, and both have a soft spot for emo music in their hearts. Back in 2017, the duo was spotted at a Dashboard Confessional concert, belting out the lyrics to "Saints & Sailors." We are beyond jealous of whoever was sitting next to them at that show.
