David Henrie is a dad!
The actor officially became a father after he and his wife, Maria Cahill, welcomed their baby girl, Pia, on Tuesday (March 19), Entertainment Tonight has learned exclusively. The couple's first child was delivered in Los Angeles, weighing in at 7 lbs., 6 oz.
"It's been six decades since there's been a Henrie girl, so we are overjoyed to welcome little Pia Henrie into the world," the 29-year-old Disney Channel alum told ET of his newborn, whose name he previously explained means "loving" in Latin.
The new parents, who have been married since April 2017, first shared their baby news in September. "ITS A GIRL ITS A GIRL ITS A GIRL. I'm a Poppa!!!!!!!" Henrie wrote in a gender reveal video on Instagram.
"I'm so overwhelmed with joy I had to share this with you guys. I’m already singing 'I Loved Her First,'" he added. "That reminds me. Where’s my shotgun? I don’t have a shotgun. Someone get me a shotgun! I can’t wait to sit her down on a couch and tell her a 9 season story of How I Met Your Mother."
The first-time parents have yet to share the first picture of their child online. In addition, Henrie's former Wizards of Waverly Place siblings, Selena Gomez and Jake T. Austin, with whom he starred on the hit Disney series before its 2012 finale, have yet to congratulate the performer on his firstborn child.
Congratulations, David and Maria!
