The Treasury Department will not meet the deadline to turn over President Trump's tax returns. The Democratic head of the House Ways and Means Committee demanded the IRS give him six years of Trump's personal tax returns, as well as returns from several Trump-linked organizations. A letter from Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said the request is not routine and raises concerns of congressional overreach. His department is also consulting with the Department of Justice on the matter. The President is also refusing to give in, insisting that he's under audit and won't release his returns while his finances are being scrutinized.
