The Trump Administration has a new Interior Secretary. The Senate confirmed former lobbyist David Bernhardt to the role yesterday. The Interior Secretary oversees about 500,000,000 acres of publicly owned land as well as energy production on that land and offshore. Bernhardt previously served in the department as solicitor during the George W. Bush administration. Under government ethics rules, Bernhardt has had to recuse himself from meeting with a number of former clients.
