Kelly Clarkson Blows 'The Voice' Away With 'Broken & Beautiful' Performance

Kelly Clarkson showed contestants how it's done with her pitch-perfect performance on The Voice.

The American Idol winner claimed the stage during Tuesday night's (April 30) episode of the NBC singing competition show to deliver a spirited presentation of her latest single "Broken & Beautiful." The inspiring tune appears on the original motion picture soundtrack for Clarkson's new movie, the family-friendly animated musical comedy UglyDolls, opening in theaters on Friday (May 3).

With her signature range and vocals, the singer, who serves as a coach during the program's fifteenth season, was nothing short of commanding during the powerhouse display, bringing audience members to their feet to sing and clap along. For the production, the 37-year-old kept her outfit fun and colorful, wearing a fluffy red gown and leather jacket over the top as she performed in front of an arrangement of kaleidoscopic projections.

Last week, the Marshmello and Steve Mac-produced record received the music video treatment, which included an adorable cameo appearance by Clarkson's 4-year-old daughter River. (Watch it here.)

Starring alongside Pitbull, Nick Jonas, Bebe Rexha, and Charli XCX, the musician voice acts for the character of Moxy in the upcoming film, which follows the free-spirited UglyDolls, based on the real-life doll brand, as they embark on an adventure of self-acceptance, self-discovery, and what it means to be loved.
