The members of Old Dominion have a lot on their plate these days, but they're still making time to help their fellow songwriters.

The five-member country band spoke about their involvement with NBC's new show "Songland," and what fans can expect from the forthcoming series, while backstage at the Mercedes-Benz Interview Lounge at the 2019 iHeartCountry Festival in Austin, TX.

"We're guest artists on that show. It's kind of like a cross between 'The Voice' and 'Shark Tank' for songwriters," the band explained. "So they bring songwriters in, they present their songs to us, or whoever is the artist of that episode, and then at the end of the episode we pick the best song and rework it with that songwriter and record it."

The show, which will also feature the Jonas Brothers, John Legend, Charlie Puth, and more as guest artists, premieres on NBC May 28.
