Lori Loughlin shocked everyone following the college admissions scandal when she and her husband Mossimo Giannulli pleaded 'not guilty' to the multiple charges brought against them. The Hollywood couple's defense strategy will reportedly be to claim that they simply didn't know what they were doing was illegal. While many believed this was a pretty flimsy defense, especially since Loughlin and Giannulli are facing up to 40 years in prison, a new report suggests this strategy might work for a pretty absurd reason.

According to TMZ, a new poster aiming to help to draw new recruits to USC crew team might play a key role in Loughlin's court case. The crew team ad was posted on campus over the weekend that, at first, some people believed was trolling Loughlin's involvement in the college admissions scam. The poster reads: "become an NCAA Division 1 athlete...join USC women's rowing. No experience? No problem." Loughlin allegedly paid bribes of $500k to secure her two daughters admission to USC, by having Olivia Jade and Isabella designated as crew team recruits. They, of course, had no experience with the sport.

So, how will this poster help Loughlin secure a not guilty verdict? TMZ reports that it's actually quite common for college crew teams to recruit team members with little to no experience. Prosecutors must prove criminal intent in order to convict Loughlin. Since she claims she didn't know the payments were illegal, paired with the information that USC recruits people with no experience for the rowing team, it may become more difficult for prosecutors to convict Loughlin.

What do you think? Will this poster help get Loughlin off the hook for her involvement in the massive scam?
