Plenty of stars like Lady Gaga and Janelle Monáe turned heads at Monday night's (May 6) 2019 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala’s red carpet, but members of the Rihanna Navy were disappointed that the pop titan didn't make an appearance at the annual affair, which was all about "Camp: Notes on Fashion." To keep fans at bay, she took to social media to sound off on the affair.
Not only did the 31-year-old show some love to Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue, by deeming her the "best dressed" of the night, but she also shared a screenshot of a fan's tweet via her Instagram Story. "Rihanna at home playing with that fu**in makeup," @idkmackk wrote on the social media platform, to which Rih decided to screenshot and place it alongside a photo of her makeup on a counter. Good move, Rih!
Just last week, Rihanna's sassy behavior made headlines when she pranked Charlize Theron with a seriously epic t-shirt. Theron recently stopped by Late Night to chat with Seth Meyers about her new film, Long Shot, and ended up recalling an epic story of how the pop titan recently pranked her via their mutual publicist. "It's tough. It’s tough. You want your publicist to like you. You want your publicist to think your worth putting out there in the world," Theron told Meyers of her mindset on having a representative. "It's hard when your other client is somebody like Rihanna." "So, for my birthday, [my publicist] always sends me a little text and she wrote 'happiest birthday.' She didn’t even write birthday, she wrote b-day," Theron continued.
"A couple months ago, I got something in the mail and it was a T-shirt. Rihanna had made a t-shirt of the birthday greeting that my publicist gave her." Wondering what the message said? "To my FAVORITE!!!! I hope you are having a blast," the publicist wrote to Rih in an e-mail, to which the pop star replied, "I'm putting this email on a T-shirt and sending to Charlize!"
