Christina Aguilera Celebrates Grand Opening Of Her New Las Vegas Show: THE XPERIENCE At Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino

Christina Aguilera's sophomore Spanish-language album is coming!

While kicking off her “Xperience” residency in Las Vegas on Saturday (June 1), the powerhouse singer confirmed she has another Latin album in the works. Amid all the light shows, smoke features and costume changes, Aguilera also provided fans an exciting update on the project as she performed her bilingual Bionic song “Desnudatem,” telling the audience, “Let’s not forget: the Latin album is coming!”

It’s been nearly 20 years since the 38-year-old vocal powerhouse released her first Spanish-language LP, Mi Reflejo, in 2000. The effort produced several hits including “Ven Conmigo (Solamente Tu)” and “Pero Me Acuerdo de Ti,” and went on to receive the Best Female Pop Vocal Album at the Latin Grammy Awards and two trophies at the Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Since then, Aguilera has proudly embraced her Ecuadorian roots by incorporating the language in her music, even recording Spanish versions of her greatest hits like “What a Girl Wants,” “Beautiful,” and “Genie in a Bottle.”

The latest update on Xtina’s Spanish-language record comes four years after the pop star first confirmed her project on the Today Show in April 2014. At the time, the Grammy winner revealed she was recording two albums simultaneously: one in Spanish, the other in English.

Until now, no word on a release date for the former project has been revealed — but we’re REALLY hoping to get something new from her this year!
