Upon hearing the news that Cameron Boyce passed away at the young age of 20, those who had worked with the Disney Channel star are paying tribute to the late actor.
βToo young. Too Sweet. Too funny. Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around. Loved that kid," Adam Sandler wrote on Twitter. Boyce played his son in the 2010 film, Grown Ups and 2013's Grown Ups 2. "Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world. Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave to us. So much more was on the way. All our hearts are broken. Thinking of your amazing family and sending our deepest condolences."
Boyce was also well-known for his role on the Disney Channel show, Jessie. His co-stars Skai Jackson and Charles Esten, who played his sister and father on the show, shared their condolences on social media.
"I don't even know where to start... I am at a loss for words," Jackson wrote on Instagram. "I never thought in a million years I would be writing this. Cam, you were one of a kind. My heart will be forever broken. I am so happy that I got to spend almost everyday with you on set, you gave the best hugs. I wish I would have hugged you tighter when I saw you a couple of months ago. Thank you so much for being the big brother I never had... I am so distraught and I cannot stop crying! I love you so much... fly high πΌπΌ ππ’ Gods best Angel. #CameronBoyce"
Esten wrote a long tribute to Boyce on Twitter, detailing their deep bond and praising his talent. Other members of the Disney community also paid their respects for a life gone too soon. Boyce died in his sleep on Saturday (July 6). Though the official cause of death has not been ruled, it is thought to have been due to a seizure caused by an ongoing medical condition.

My family and I are devastated today, by the loss of our young and amazing friend, Cameron Boyce. Years before I was blessed to play his father on JESSIE, we were blessed to know him and his wonderful family at the elementary school our kids all attended together./1

The Walt Disney Company mourns the loss of #CameronBoyce, who was a friend to so many of us, and filled with so much talent, heart and life, and far too young to die. Our prayers go out to his family and his friends.

I just learned of Cameron Boyceβs passing and I am completely, utterly devastated. Cameron has a sweet soul, always was learning, and always tried to pass that knowledge along to others. When I joined the Disney Channel, he became someone I looked up to.
