Napa boy inspires Governor Newsom to ensure all students get school lunches

Governor Newsom recently signed a bill that allows all school students to get lunch whether or not their parents are behind in paying lunch fees. The Governor said he was inspired by 9-year-old Ryan Kyote of Napa who used his allowance to pay off the lunch debt of his third grade class after he saw a classmate returning a meal that he couldn’t pay for.
