Be careful where you put your tongue...

One woman in Michigan is now being criminally charged after officials say she bit off part of a man's tongue while kissing.

According to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office, Youlette Wedgeworth told the man not to put his tongue in her mouth while kissing on January 28. He decided to do it anyway...

“Our defendant told our victim not to stick his tongue in her mouth, and he did. She didn’t like it, so she bit the tip of his tongue clean off,” Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith said. “It’s a first. During the course of consensual kissing, someone bites someone’s tongue off – off, gone, holding it when the police pulled up.”

Police then responded to the home and found the man bleeding from the mouth... And about an INCH of his tongue missing.

“I believe this is the first case of this nature in my 27 years in the prosecutor’s office,” Smith said in the statement.

According to police, they were able to recover the rest of the man's tongue in the bedroom of the apartment. Wedgeworth has been charged with aggravated assault.
