On Friday (August 21), Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli pleaded guilty to paying $500,000 in bribes to the University of Southern California on their daughters' behalf. As part of their plea deal, Louglin and Giannulli will serve short prison sentences for their involvement in the scam. While Loughlin will serve a two month sentence, Giannulli will serve a slightly longer sentence of five months.

Loughlin and Giannulli have kept mum about their situation over the past eighteen months, however, a source close to their family told E! that they "are terrified about going to jail" because of the ongoing spread of COVID-19 within the prison systems. As of now, it's unclear where and when Loughlin and Gianullli will serve their prison sentences. It was previously reported the pair may end up serving their sentences on house arrest.

Meanwhile, Loughlin, Giannulli and their two daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabelle, are reportedly struggling to accept the impending prison sentences. "Everyone is on edge and just trying to hold it together and stay strong," the source dished to E!.

The source also revealed that Loughlin and Giannulli are hope to serve their sentences at different times so their daughters aren't left without a parent around. "They don't want to have any overlap and leave the girls on their own," the source said. "They are trying to work out a way that one of them can be in L.A. with the girls while the other is serving their sentence."
