Tennessee Titans star running back Derrick Henry made a statement hours before his team's first game of the 2020 NFL season against the Denver Broncos Monday night.

Henry sported a suit featuring the names of victims of racial injustice and police brutality while traveling to Denver, the team shared as part of its travel gallery on its official website Monday.

The suit included the names of George Floyd, Tamir Rice, Michael Brown and Breonna Taylor, among many others in white lettering. The Titans tweeted four photos of Henry sporting the suit with the caption: "It takes all of us."

The NFL has made the pledge to create more awareness for social injustice this season, announcing that the terms "End Racism" and "It Takes All of Us" would be displayed on each end zone during games and on the back of players' helmets. The league also committed to donating $250 million to a fund working to "combat systemic racism and support the battle against injustices faced by African Americans" over a 10-year period.

The league also said it would work with free agent NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who has been an outspoken voice against social injustice for several years, famously taking a knee in protest of police brutality during the national anthem in 2016.

Henry signed a four-year, $50 million contract extension ($25.5 million guaranteed) with the Titans this offseason after a career year that included recording an NFL best 1,540 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns, as well as an AFC Championship Game appearance.

The Titans will face the Broncos at 9:10 p.m. CST at Empower Field at Mile High on Monday.
