Earlier this year, the BBC enlisted an all-star ensemble to cover Foo Fighters' 2002 hit "Times Like These" for a fundraiser to benefit the battle against the coronavirus. Now, BBC Radio 2 has recruited a new group of stars to take on another single from 2002 — Oasis' "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" — to raise money for BBC Children In Need.

Lenny Kravitz and Cher are among the voices singing with the goal to “raise vital funds to help support children and young people across the UK facing disadvantage, at a time when they need it most.”

“I felt very emotional recording this song, it was very important to me,” Cher said in a statement.

Ava Max, Bryan Adams, Clean Bandit, Ella Eyre, Gregory Porter, Izzy Bizu, Jack Savoretti, James Morrison, Jamie Cullum, Jay Sean, Jess Glynne, KSI, Kylie Minogue, Lauv, Mel C, Nile Rodgers, Paloma Faith, Rebecca Ferguson, Robbie Williams and Yola also lent their vocals to the track, with the BBC Concert Orchestra handling the instrumentals.

“Children in Need is such a special charity and so loved by everyone, including me," Minogue said in a statement. "It was a privilege to take part in this recording with so many amazing artists. This year it feels even more poignant than ever, and I hope we can all come together to raise as much as possible.”
