A house in Englewood partially collapsed after a garbage truck backed into it. The Denver Fire Department tweeted on Wednesday, February 24, that their crews were working with Arapahoe County to clean up the unfortunate situation.

The crash occurred at 3386 S. Julian St. at around 11:00 A.M., reports FOX31.

The fire department announced that no one was injured in the accident and they were able to work with first responders from Arapahoe County to remove the truck from the house.

The owner of the home, David Silva, was about to take a nap when the garbage truck backed into his house.

"I noticed all of a sudden, the rooms got filled with dust, my dog ran out of the bedroom into the backyard where he was safe," Silva told FOX31. "I ran to the front of my home and was shocked to see the front room was in shambles and I had a truck sitting in my house."

Silva's daughter, Frances, told reports, "Everybody is in shock when they walk by. It's like a movie set."

According to FOX31, firefighters and engineers spent Wednesday inspecting the situation and the structural integrity of the house.

"This is unreal. Unreal. I am very lucky to be alive, count my lucky stars to be alive," said Silva. "I survived this. I bought my lottery tickets yesterday... maybe I'll go buy more today see if my luck will hold up."

Silva said he has lived in the house for six years.
