60 Arrested In Minnesota Police Shooting Protests

April 14, 2021

Authorities in Oregon and Minnesota say protesters are rioting over the police shooting death of Daunte Wright.

In Minnesota, police arrested dozens of protesters yesterday in a Minneapolis suburb.

State Patrol Colonel Matt Langer said about 60 people were arrested for what he called riot and criminal behaviors.

In Oregon, police in Portland declared a riot last night after protesters set a fire at the police union building.

About 100 people had marched to the building to protest the death of Daunte Wright, who was killed by police near Minneapolis on Sunday.
