Slash brought his solo band back to late night television Wednesday, rocking Jimmy Kimmel Live! with his band's new single "The River Is Rising."

"River" is the third single from Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators' upcoming album, 4, available everywhere February 11.

The alarm-raising new track is a full-on rocker highlighting the band at its best, with Kennedy's soaring vocals and Slash's fiery lead guitar playing.

Speaking with Jimmy Kimmel earlier in the show, the Guns N' Roses guitarist noted that his band's ever-expanding name is just a function of giving credit where credit is due.

"It started out as a solo thing when [the name] was just Slash," he said. "Then I met Myles Kennedy and we started working together and I said, 'Well, I've got to bring Myles into it.' So then his name became part of it.

"The I met with Brent Fitz [drums] and Todd Kerns [bass] ... they need a thing too. So we called them the Conspirators, and there you go. But we call it SMKC for short."

As soon as Slash returns home from his upcoming run of tour dates with MKC, he goes straight into rehearsals for the next Guns N' Roses European tour.
