Betty Who is opening a new chapter in her career with her latest release. On Friday, June 3, Betty helped ring in LGBTQ Pride Month by adding an uplifting new anthem to the canon. The new '80s-inspired track "Blow Out My Candle" arrived with an accompanying music video that has Betty channeling some Jamie Lee Curtis in the movie Perfect vibes. The singer dons a similar workout leotard, sweatband, and high socks as she belts through a chorus about self-confidence and perseverance. "You can blow out my candle, But you'll never put out my fire," she sings. Betty wrote and co-produced the track with the help of longtime collaborator and friend Martin Johnson.

In a statement, Betty spoke about the meaning behind the infectious new single, “It’s been a long couple years for all of us. I spent my time off learning to bake (of course)…and incessantly thinking all day and all night about what kind of music I wanted to return with. “Blow Out My Candle” is the story I want to share most. The feeling I held onto in the darkest moments of the last couple years. I hope it gives you the confidence and motivation it gives me."

In line with its Pride theme, Betty has partnered with GLAAD, the world's largest LGBTQ media advocacy organization, by releasing a Betty Who candle. A percentage of the proceeds will go to the organization, which you can purchase here.

You can catch Betty Who performing "Blow Out My Candle" and other hits at iHeartRadio's "Can't Cancel Pride — Proud AND Together" on June 14th. The Australian-American powerhouse will join other LGBTQ artists and icons like host JoJo Siwa, as well as Elton John, Katy Perry, Sam Smith, Lizzo, Anitta, Dove Cameron, Kim Petras, and more! Later this month, Betty will also make her reality TV debut by hosting Amazon Studios' new dating show The One That Got Away. The time-reveling, experimental dating series will premiere on June 24th.
