The hustle and bustle of big city life is often a draw for tourists looking to explore what exciting nightlife and award-winning restaurants. However, some of the most charming and interesting places to visit are the smaller towns scattered around the vast expanse of America.

Cheapism searched around the U.S. for the best small towns to visit in the country, compiling a list of the "cute small towns [that] represent much of what is great about each state or region, just on a smaller scale than larger cities — and typically at a lower price."

Among the list, which includes stunning destinations like seaside towns in Florida and locales in the heart of "bourbon country" in Kentucky, is one town in Arizona. Bisbee was named one of the best smaller towns to visit in the country, earning praise for its "thriving arts scene" and historic nature as well as its scenic beauty. The site also suggests checking out the "Iron Man" sculpture, crafted by Bisbee resident Phillip Sanderson and unveiled in 1935, which highlight's the town's past with mining copper.

Here's what the site had to say:

"Bisbee may have a population of fewer than 6,000 people, but a thriving arts scene makes this historic community worth a visit. Rolling red hills surrounding the town combine with brightly painted buildings and homes to create a unique landscape. Look forward to checking out the Bisbee Restoration Museum ($5); its artifacts tell the story of mining and ranching in Bisbee. There are other historic sites as well, including the Copper Queen Library."
