A.I. ‘Singer’ Tops Country Charts as SoCal Waits for Rain, L.A. Chase Ends

Alex Stone joined us with the latest example of A.I. taking over entertainment: the top Country Digital Song Sales track is now “Walk My Walk” by “Breaking Rust,” an A.I.–generated singer. The song already has more than 3 million streams in under a month and is beating real human artists on the Billboard charts. It’s one of at least six A.I. songs to chart recently, sparking controversy in the country music world—some angry, others curious whether listeners even care who or what made the music.
