Diddy Slams 50 Cent & Netflix In Fiery Response To New Docuseries

Sean "Diddy" Combs fired back at Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson just hours before his upcoming docuseries debuted on Netflix
In a statement TMZ published on Monday, December 1, Combs' spokesperson Juda Engelmayer referred to 50 Cent's "so-called documentary" Sean Combs: The Reckoning as a "shameful hit piece." He also alleged Netflix included "stolen footage" that had not been approved for release. Jackson previously previewed two scenes from the documentary on ABC's "Good Morning America," one of which showed him talking to his lawyers about "losing" his legal battle just days before he was arrested in September 2024.
"Netflix is plainly desperate to sensationalize every minute of Mr. Combs's life, without regard for truth, in order to capitalize on a never-ending media frenzy," Engelmayer said. "If Netflix cared about truth or about Mr. Combs's legal rights, it would not be ripping private footage out of context -- including conversations with his lawyers that were never intended for public viewing. No rights in that material were ever transferred to Netflix or any third party."
Engelmayer explained that the scenes that appear in the docuseries were part of a trove of footage that Combs has been recording since he was 19 years old. The video was intended to help Combs "tell his own story, in his own way." The rep also added that Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos violated their trust by allowing Jackson to exploit the footage and use it as part of his "personal vendetta" against Combs.
"It is equally staggering that Netflix handed creative control to Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson -- a longtime adversary with a personal vendetta who has spent too much time slandering Mr. Combs," Engelmayer continued. "Beyond the legal issues, this is a personal breach of trust. Mr. Combs has long respected Ted Sarandos and admired the legacy of Clarence Avant. For Netflix to give his life story to someone who has publicly attacked him for decades feels like an unnecessary and deeply personal affront. At minimum, he expected fairness from people he respected."
It didn't take long for 50 Cent to hear about Engelmayer's statement. He took to his Instagram timeline and reacted accordingly. Sean Combs: The Reckoning is streaming on Netflix now. See what 50 Cent had to say below.
