Mary J. Blige says she has an unreleased track with JAY-Z that could've made a major impact on the game if she'd been allowed to drop it.

The veteran singer-songwriter sat down with Carmelo Anthony for a recent episode of 7PM in Brooklyn and talked about the mythical track. She explained that they were really hype while recording the song. Unfortunately, someone leaked the record and prevented them from doing anything with the song.

"It's a monster too," she said."[Hov] felt disrespected that someone from my session had leaked it. But, you know, maybe we can revisit it."

Mary J. Blige and JAY-Z have collaborated several times throughout the course of their career. They first linked up on "Can't Knock The Hustle" from JAY-Z's debut album Reasonable Doubt. The two reunited on the intro for Blige's Love & Life album and "Can't Hide From Luv" from her 2005 LP The Breakthrough. They also joined forces for their "Heart of the City Tour" in 2008.

Speaking of shows, Mary J. Blige just announced the plans for her first-ever Las Vegas residency. "Mary J. Blige: My Life, My Story" is happening at Dolby Live inside Park MGM in Las Vegas. Blige said the show will be a completely new experience for her day-one fans.

“It’s going to be done more theatrical,” she said. “It’s still going to have the music, it’s still going to be fun — but it’s a story so there’s going to be actors and actresses."

Mary J. Blige will kick off her residency on May 1 and will perform on select days between May 2 and May 9. She will continue the show again the weekend of July 10 and continue until July 18. See what The Breakfast Club thinks of her shelved collaboration with JAY-Z below.
