Zayn Malik has new music coming "soon."
The "Pillowtalk" singer took the stage on Tuesday (January 20) for his first of seven residency shows at the Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas, performing both past hits and unreleased songs while teasing a new album coming in the future, per People.
"I've been in the studio a bit, got a new record for you guys now, pretty soon," he said. "I'm really excited about that, and obviously, we're going to be playing you some new songs tonight that you've never heard before."
In addition to some fan-favorite songs like "Lied To" and "Scripted," the One Direction alum threw things back with a trip to his debut album Mind of Mine, treating the crowd to renditions of "She" and "It's You" as well as "Drunk," which marked the first time he has ever performed the track, People reports.
"I told you I'd be singing songs I've never performed before," he said. "I didn't say you haven't heard the song before."
He did, however, perform four unreleased songs for the audience, "Fatal," "Take Turns," "Die For Me" and "Used to the Blues."
Though he didn't share any additional details about his next record, including whether the songs he performed during the show will be featured on the album, the project would be his fifth studio album and a follow-up to his 2024 record Room Under the Stairs.
