"When I was working on this album I had the desire to go feel that feeling again, and that’s what I’m about to do," he explained. "Trunk Sale Tour 26!! I don’t know where we bout to drive to, but catch me outside! Cop a CD from me or just show love. I truly appreciate all the love and the reaction to the music."
Cole plans to sell the albums straight out of the trunk of his old Honda civic. He got the idea from his original plan to sell CD's when he was a teenager. "As a teenager I had copies of the Fayettenam Bommuh’s album that Nervous gave me to sell," he explained. "I used to go up to the gas stations trying to sell the album to strangers, 'yo you like hip hop??' Was the beginning of the sales pitch."
In videos posted to social media, you could see Cole riding around to various cities in North Carolina, from Greensboro to South End, to meet with fans and hook them up with a copy of his album. He even hit up college campuses like North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and NC State Chapel Hill, where he was greeted by mobs of fans.
J. Cole hasn't revealed where else he'll take his "Trunk Sale Tour '26" but wherever he goes, the fans will follow. Check out some scenes from J. Cole's surprise meet-ups below.
