Taylor Swift Shares Makeup-Free BTS Video From Making Of 'Opalite'

Taylor Swift is feeling the love for her latest single "Opalite."

On Monday (February 23), Swift took to Instagram to reflect on the response to the track, featured on her 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl, and share a look at "just a few Opalite memories" behind the scenes of both creating the song in studio and bringing her vision to life in the '90s-inspired, star packed music video.

The post included moments of Swift practicing choreography for the music video as well as clips of a makeup-free Swift singing along with the chorus and another of her providing live vocals for the recording accompanied by producers Max Martin and Shellback. She also shared a video from set of her wearing light-wash jeans, a colorful striped turtleneck under a denim vest with a brunette wig and joking, "Never in my life have I felt so myself, this is who I was actually meant to be."

"You guys just got this song!! I can't even sum up my excitement and I'm so blown away by the love you've shown this song and video," she wrote.

The "Fate of Ophelia" singer also reflected on how the success of "Opalite" marks the first time since her 2014 album 1989 that she has had two songs from the same album reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. She added that she feels "so thankful to the fans who helped make this happen by welcoming this song into your lives with open arms" and that she is "seriously bouncing off the walls about this."

Swift dropped the nostalgia-driven "Opalite" music video earlier this month featuring a cast of famous faces, including Domhnall Gleeson, Graham Norton, Lewis Capaldi, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith and Cillian Murphy, all of whom she appeared alongside during a chat on The Graham Norton Show in October. She recently gave fans a look behind the "hysterical shoot" full of "dance lessoning, our phenomenal cameos, camcorder footage, gigantic scrunchies & fanny pack angles!"
