Watch Team Kelly Clarkson Artist's Powerful Cover Of Luke Combs Ballad

Houston Kelly delivered a powerful rendition of a Luke Combs ballad when he took the stage on The Voice: Battle of Champions on Monday evening (March 30).

Kelly, a 20-year-old country singer from Memphis, Tennessee, covered “Love You Anyway.” Combs released the romantic song on his 18-track record, Gettin’ Old, in 2023. the album served as a follow-up to 2022’s Growin’ Up. The project also included title track “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old,” “Where the Wild Things Are,” an award-winning cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car,” and more. Combs’ “Love You Anyway” is a heartfelt ballad about unconditional love, pledging to love someone despite the potential for heartbreak.

Kelly impressed the coaches when he auditioned with Marc Cohn's “Walking In Memphis.” Clarkson praised the country voice unlike any others on her team, and told him, “you have almost this Toby Keith little growl to you a bit, which I love.” She and her fellow coaches, John Legend and Adam Levine, reacted throughout Kelly’s performance of “Love You Anyway.” Watch it below.
