Watch: Emmy Russell, Tyler Ward Share Gender Reveal For Baby No. 2

Emmy Russell and Tyler Ward shared a video of the moment they found out the gender of their second child.

Ward hailed the gender reveal “the best video ever,” he wrote in the caption of the couple’s shared Instagram post on Monday (April 6). The two singer-songwriters recorded the moment they learned whether they were having a baby boy or a baby girl during the ultrasound appointment. Both parents expressed their excitement — and Ward jumped out of his seat — when they learned they have a son on the way.

Baby No. 2 will join big sister Taylor Ray (Raydiant) Ward, who made her arrival on January 31, 2025. Russell, a former American Idol contestant whose grandmother is late legend Loretta Lynn, previously told PEOPLE that “as weird as this sounds, I literally heard, I felt like I heard God tell me, 'Emmy, you're pregnant, and your baby is Radiant.’” That moment — and Ward’s middle name, Ray — inspired Taylor Ray’s name. Russell included Taylor Ray in the pregnancy reveal, which she posed in February. She told Ward, “we have a surprise,” and shared his emotional reaction when he realized Russell is pregnant.
