Not long after he was shot at one casino in Florida, Offset is facing legal issues from another casino in Michigan.
According to a report TMZ published on Wednesday, April 8, the former Migos rapper has been sued by the MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit. The venue's attorneys allege that Offset opened a $100,000 line of credit while he was playing at the casino in March 2024. After making numerous attempts to contact the artist about his debt, MotorCity decided to take it out of his account as part of their mutual agreement. Unfortunately, Offset didn't have enough money in his account to cover the entire fee.
"We are working toward a resolution," his rep told TMZ.
Offset is being sued for breach of contract, fraud, and other offenses. The lawsuit was filed shortly after the Atlanta native was shot outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Police say he was approached by a group of men led by rapper Lil Tjay. A fight broke out between the men, which prompted one man from Tjay's crew to fire his gun. Offset was shot in the leg and rushed to a nearby hospital in Hollywood for treatment. Tjay and his associate were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
Both rappers have been beefing for over a year due to an alleged $10,000 debt that Offset owes Tjay. In the days after the shooting, several celebrities, including former NFL star Dez Bryant and influencer Celina Powell, alleged the rapper still owed them money. Bryant said Offset owes him $8,000 from a previous bet, while Powell claimed he owes her $15,000.
Offset's alleged mounting debts haven't stopped him from gambling. Not long after he was released from the hospital, Offset was reportedly spotted back at the poker tables at the Hard Rock casino where he was shot. See the video below.
