Warren Zeiders “can’t stop playing” an irresistible game.

The Pennsylvania-born country star, nearing his 27th birthday, delivered a riveting new single this month. Zeiders teamed up with Evan Blair, Jesse Fink, Michael Pollack, J Kash and Elof Loelv to write “Drinking Game.” The infectious anthem is described as “a rollercoaster of emotions from an on-and-off love; just a drinking game he ‘can’t stop playing,’” states a recently-issued press release announcing the song’s debut.

“Drinking Game” switches gears from Zeiders’ previous single, “Born to Be Yours,” which he dropped in February 2026. The “swoon worthy track,” the release deems, is one that Zeiders described as “a future letter to my wife,” in a recent conversation with iHeartCountry. The “Pretty Little Poison” artist explained that he wrote “Born to Be Yours” while working on his latest record, 2025’s Relapse, Lies, & Betrayal, but “it didn’t feel right yet,” to include the track on the album. Still, he knew he had to share the “really beautiful message.”

Zeiders runs the gamut with his genre-spanning, era-spanning musical inspirations. He grew up with a mother who listened to George Strait, Garth Brooks and Shania Twain, and a father who gravitated toward Mötley CrüeAC/DCGuns N’ Roses and other legendary rockers. Zeiders said in his own generation and in modern music, he’s listened to 3 Doors Down, Hinder, the Goo Goo Dolls, Chris Stapleton and many other artists who have influenced his soulful sound. Zeiders grew up singing in church, briefly took guitar lessons (and turned to YouTube for some self-teaching) and remembers his mother’s love of musicals — including Grease and Sound of Music — and his family’s routine of watching American Idol together. He was constantly surrounded by music; however, he “never thought to pursue it,” until later. The dedicated lacrosse player often focused on his athletics until he found some musical success on TikTok. Zeiders solo wrote his first song in his childhood home in Pennsylvania, and his second song, “Ride the Lightning,” became his first hit.

Zeiders’ range of raw emotion and rapidly-rising, electrifying energy in his music comes to life any time he takes the stage. He sold out his hometown arena, Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and commemorated the full circle evening with Live From the 717. The 21-track live album captures the highly-anticipated performance that concluded Zeiders’ 2025 headlining tour. The day after the emotional, “full circle” show, Zeiders took a significant step in his faith and got baptized, “so that was a very fulfilling weekend.”

“It was an incredible experience,” Zeiders told iHeartCountry of his sold-out hometown show. It was among “my best performances because of the energy in the room that night. And I knew I had to show up in a big way. ...That was a surreal moment.” Zeiders said the first concert he attended growing up was Christian artists Jeremy Camp and TobyMac, though it was at another arena nearby, he remembered. The last concert he attended at Giant Center before he headlined the venue himself was Post Malone.

He’ll reunite with Post Malone when the two artists perform on the main stage at Stagecoach. The music festival returns from Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Zeiders will take the stage around sunset on the same day Post Malone, Brooks & Dunn, Hootie & the Blowfish, Third Eye Blind, Wyatt Flores and many other artists perform. Zeiders told iHeartCountry that a lot of “brainstorming” has gone into his Stagecoach set list. He couldn’t tease much, but looked ahead to a high-energy performance and seeing “who I can bump into backstage, and just hang out…and have a good time.” He hoped to talk with Post Malone, and reunite with Brooks & Dunn after joining them on “Brand New Man” on the duo’s Reboot II album. Zeiders looked ahead with excitement as he continues performance dates on his first-ever world tour, which kicked off in March, plus “Drinking Game” and more music underway.
