LeAnn Rimes shared her response to social media commenters who claimed her viral deep jaw release was fake.
Rimes, 43, appeared deeply emotional in a clip that Human Garage, a wellness movement, shared on Instagram on March 29. Rimes and Human Garage founder Garry Lineham spoke about the experience during a livestream on Sunday (April 18), and the Grammy-winning artist addressed comments from naysayers and skeptics. Rimes said with a joke in the livestream, according to a report from PEOPLE: “I can act, but I’m not that good. …I’m not Meryl Streep. That's just real, and I feel like the older I get, and it's been probably the last decade of my life, I feel like the more honest I can be. People finally get to see me, and there's no pretense about that.”
Rimes appeared in tears in the clip shared by Human Garage. The wellness company explained that “sometimes it’s [healing is] a pysical letting go of things we didn’t even know we were carrying.” The “powerful session” shows Rimes’ reaction to the jaw release, and “you can see the exact moment the tension breaks and the emotional weight lifts, leaving her feeling viably lighter and more aligned.
“The jaw is one of the body’s primary storage sites for stress,” Human Garage’s post continued. “When we hold back our voice or push through pressure, the fascia in the face and neck ‘locks’ to protect us. By using the maneuvers to signal safety to the nervous system, we can finally allow that stored energy to move.”
Rimes shared in a March 23 post that, “for as long as I can remember, my body has held tension like it’s been bracing for something. …as someone whose voice is literally my instrument, that kind of tightness doesn’t just live in the body; it shows up in how I breathe, how i express, how freely I can sing. I’ve taken care of myself from so many angles over the years, nutrition, hormones, nervous system work, therapy, supplements. you name it. I’ve gone down a lot of healing paths. but fascia, that was one piece I hadn’t fully explored… that’s when I found [Garry Lineham] and [Human Garage].”
Rimes has previously opened up about wellness treatments, including a visit to Next Health “to help clear micro-toxins,” she said in a video earlier this year. Though reports emerged with a connection to an incident in which the singer’s teeth fell out mid-performance in June 2025, she clarified that the treatment had “nothing to do with my teeth.”
“Listening to my body and choosing what feels supportive for this season of healing, especially after a very busy year of filming and touring,” Rimes explained, in part, in her Instagram caption on that video, in which she did not mention her teeth. “I demand so much from my body and it’s incredibly important to me to take the best care of it i possibly can. This is my second round of plasma exchange with [Next Health] to help clear micro-toxins, such as mold and microplastics and this time, I’ve added stem cells to encourage overall repair. …The idea behind TPE [Therapeutic Plasma Exchange] is to remove harmful substances or antibodies that might be in a patient’s plasma, such as toxins, autoimmune antibodies, or other harmful proteins. By removing these substances, the body can have a chance to recover or respond better to other treatments. Think of it like an ‘oil change for your body.’”
