Ella Langley and Morgan Wallen teamed up on a new a storytelling duet that arrived on Friday (April 24).

The two award-winning artists released “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” telling the story of a former couple struggling with heartache, seemingly unable to move forward, after a split. Langley and Wallen surprised the audience when they delivered the debut live performance on Saturday, April 18. Wallen headlined his “I’m Still the Problem Tour” show that evening in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Langley’s home state. Wallen, the reigning iHeartRadio Music Awards Country Artist of the Year, said he and Langley would join forces on stage for “something we ain’t ever done tonight. Ella wrote this song and sent it to me about a month ago, and I loved it the second I heard it.”

“I can’t love you anymore/ Can’t keep chasing you round, round the back of my mind / I can’t need you anymore/ Can’t keep sharing this bed with your ghost every night/ I hate that your kiss/ Left a burn on my lips/ Oh baby how do I tell my heart it ain’t yours/ When I’ve said it before/ I can’t love you anymore”

Langley, who won the Best New Country Artist honor at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards, teased the duet with an Easter egg in her cinematic “Choosin’ Texas” music video that premiered earlier this month. The visual for Langley’s history-making single featured Miranda LambertLuke GrimesAva PhillippeKaitlin Butts and others, and by the end, spotlighted a license plate that read, “ICLYA.” The Dandelion artist revealed on stage with Wallen that the duet would arrive on Friday.
