Luke Combs paid tribute to Toby Keith in the late legend’s home state.

Combs recently took the stage on his headlining “My Kinda Saturday Night Tour” at Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma. He performed wearing a hat that reads “TOBY” across the front, and walked out with “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” playing throughout the stadium. Keith released the breakout single from his debut studio album in 1993, and it remains one of the biggest hits of his decades-spanning career. Keith’s family said Combs’ gesture was an “amazing tribute to Toby,” at “one of his favorite places… What a great show!”

Keith “passed peacefully…surrounded by family,” on February 5, 2024, following a battle with stomach cancer. He was 62. The Country Music Hall of Fame member is survived by wife Tricia Covel, daughters Shelley Covel Rowland and Krystal Keith, son Stelen Keith Covel and grandchildren.

Combs shared photos and videos from his Oklahoma performance over the weekend on Instagram, plus a stop in his own home state of North Carolina to accept an honorary degree. Combs’ next performance dates are back-to-back shows on Friday (May 15) and Saturday (May 16) at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. See his post here:
