You can't always get what you want... including seeing The Rolling Stones on tour this year.

After previously canceling their 2026 tour plans, guitarist Keith Richards reiterated that the group has no plans to hit the road anytime soon.

"We can talk next year," the musician told the Associated Press on Saturday (May 9). "At the moment, we've just finished the record and we're considering what to do after. Pretty soon, but not this year." Watch the clip here.

The iconic rock band reportedly decided to cancel their plans for a 2026 stadium tour across the United Kingdom and Europe last December. According to a source close to the band, per Variety, the decision followed Richards' inability to commit to tour requirements due to health concerns stemming from arthritis.

Last week, the "Paint It Black" rockers officially announced a new album, Foreign Tongues, which drops July 10. The upcoming record, which is the follow-up to 2023's Hackney Diamonds, will feature contributions from music legends such as Paul McCartney, Robert Smith, Steve Winwood and late Stones drummer Charlie Watts.

"The album has a continuity, and it was great to be working in London again, and to have that London vibe around us," Richards said in a statement, per Pitchfork. "It was a month of concentrated punch. To me, it's all about the enjoyment of it."
