Trace Adkins will debut his first new single in five years during the annual A Capitol Fourth concert event on Friday, July 3. This year’s celebration commemorates America’s Semiquincentennial 250th anniversary.

The legendary country artist, 64, confirmed he’ll deliver the national televised debut of “American Made,” which is described as “an uplifting anthem honoring the patriotism, ideals and contributions of generations of Americans.” Adkins shared in a statement: “I have been fortunate enough to have played a small part in several of the A Capitol Fourth celebrations over my career. But to be invited to join the 250th birthday of our great country is an honor beyond all others.” The Louisiana-born country star delivered his debut album, Dreaming’ Out Loud, in June 1996. Three decades into his career, he’s become known for “Every Light In The House,” “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” “You’re Gonna Miss This” and more.

Jack Everly will conduct the National Symphony Orchestra during the televised special. Additional performers will be announced at a later date. The show will close with a finale of fireworks. A Capitol Fourth will be broadcast live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. Viewers can watch the special on PBS from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. CT, and American Forces Network for service members globally. It will be available to watch on YouTube and on-demand until July 17.
