Riley Green and Ella Langley join country icons Tim McGraw and Faith Hill with their latest Academy of Country Music win.
Green and Langley scored the Music Event of the Year honor at the 61st ACM Awards on Sunday evening (May 17) for “Don’t Mind If I Do.” Green wrote the duet, which served as the title track to his 2024 record. It was produced by Dann Huff and Michael Knox.
Green’s newest award with Langley makes the two artists only the second set of collaborators to win the category in consecutive years (they won when they were nominated for “you look like you love me” last year). Only McGraw and Hill have earned the ACM category consecutively in 1998 and 1999. Though other artists have won the Music Event of the Year award in back-to-back years, they haven’t done so with the same collaborator, per data gathered ahead of the show.
Langley is one of the most-nominated artists at the 2026 ACM awards with seven nominations. Other top nominees include Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, Chris Stapleton, Zach Top and Cody Johnson. The show returned to the MGM Garden Arena stage in Las Vegas, Nevada, airing live at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. PT.
