Megan Moroney, the most-nominated artist at the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards, is skipping the event on Sunday evening (May 17).

The Cloud 9 artist, 28, received nine ACM nominations — including the coveted Entertainer of the Year category, Female Artist of the Year and more — followed by Miranda LambertElla Langley and Lainey Wilson (eight, seven and seven, respectively). Moroney shared that she’s unable to attend the show because she’s the maid of honor at her best friend’s wedding. Moroney wrote on her Instagram story on Sunday: “I’m so honored to be nominated tonight at [ACM Awards] & I’m rooting on all my friends from afar! I’m out of the country this week on MOH duty to get my bestie married… I 🩷 you guys and can’t wait to see y’all in Columbus! Counting down the days.”

Moroney is counting the days until the opening night of her “Cloud 9” arena tour, which kicks off on May 29 in Columbus, Ohio. The Georgia-born country star released her highly-anticipated third studio album earlier this year. Cloud 9 includes the title track, collaborations with Ed Sheeran and Kacey Musgraves, “6 Months Later,” “Beautiful Things,” “Wish I Didn’t,” bonus track “Sorry… I Meant Tonight,” newly-released bonus track “Traitor (Roles Reversed)” and more.
